Chartley, Mass Oct. 23
Dear Nellie,
We are having a fine time but it rains nearly all of the time and that rather spoils it. It rained all the way from (unclear) to Boston and we could not tell much about the country, only that there were lots of hills. We could not go to see Lottie. The excursion came on the Rutland road. We went all out to Taunton on the electric cars yesterday P.M.
