Dear mom,

After many days, I have found a housekeeper and expect to start for this place in the morning. Can’t stay but ten days. However, delayed my starting so long. Everything hindered. Last, I strained my back—had lumbago, which is being treated with electricity.

Richard is heavy—23½ lbs. Mama takes all care of him. Has another place for middle of March. Moll has nothing to do with the anti-[word not clear].

Your loving son,
J.R.S.

Mrs. Abbie S. Brewer,
215 South Walter Street,
Albuquerque,
New Mexico
