Home Depot Foundation Volunteers Help Restore the South Attleboro One-Room Schoolhouse

On October 1, 2025, volunteers from The Home Depot Foundation, representing the South Attleboro location, joined forces with the Attleboro Historical Commission to restore the historic South Attleboro Schoolhouse, located next to Hill Roberts Elementary School.

The one-room schoolhouse is one of Attleboro’s oldest educational landmarks, and the day’s work focused on repairing siding, painting, and preserving the building’s exterior for future generations. While the project was supported by the Home Depot Foundation, the effort was carried out by local volunteers from Home Depot who generously gave their time to support this important community preservation project.

The Attleboro Historical Preservation Society extends its thanks to the Attleboro Historical Commission, the City of Attleboro School Department, and the Home Depot Foundation for ensuring this historic treasure continues to stand as a reminder of the city’s early educational history.
