The Attleboro High School SkillsUSA chapter recently took part in a meaningful community service project by volunteering to clean up several small historic burial grounds across the city. Among the sites was the Solomon Family Burial Ground, a modest yet significant resting place tucked away in a quiet part of Attleboro.

This burial site holds the remains of the family of Dr. James M. Solomon, founder of the Solomon Sanitarium, which once stood where the LaSalette Shrine is now located. A tall obelisk stands in the yard, listing the names of family members interred here. The earliest recorded burial dates back to 1836, marking nearly two centuries of history.
Thanks to the care and effort of the AHS SkillsUSA students, this historical site—and others like it—have been respectfully restored and maintained for future generations to appreciate.
