Bicentennial 1894

Attleboro.org would like to give a very special Thank You  to R. Scanlon  for allowing us to post these wonderful glass slide photos and to his father for taking them.  We are very fortunate that they have been shared with us.

The Bates Opera House.
Park Street , one of extremely few images that show the tower in the context of its location. It is visible at the top of the photo.
Park Street in front of the Second Congregational Church.
Schoolhouse Hill, what is now Sanford Street. This view today would be from the front of the Parking garage entrance towards the back of the YMCA. The East Attleborough Academy Building is just out of frame to the right and still stands there today.
This image is an unknown location, the shape and scale of the arch suggests the entrance to Capron park looking out, but the buildings to me also suggest North Main Street looking towards the Blackinton Inn.
